Jenny Burds, DNP
Jenny is a family nurse practitioner and owner of Burds Family Practice here in Peosta, IA. She has 25+ years of experience in the healthcare field with the past 10 years as a nurse practitioner.
She received her advanced degrees at Clarke University, and knew she wanted to work in a community that felt like family.
She loves helping each and every patient and family every day. She is beyond grateful for the staff she has hand-selected to make the clinic even better.
When she is not at the clinic, she loves being active with workout classes, traveling, and experiencing the world.
Brittny Droessler, Nurse Injector
Brittny is a nurse injector here at SkinRx. She attended Northeast Iowa Community College and got her Associate’s degree in Nursing.
She loves the atmosphere here at SkinRx & helping clients enhance their natural beauty.
She is our attention-to-detail girl and one who listens to client’s concerns and goals and comes up with personalized treatment plans.
When she is not helping clients reach their beauty goals, she enjoys spending with family and friends and doing anything outdoors (fishing, being on the river, horseback riding).
Marie Bockenstedt, RN
Marie attended Northeast Iowa Community College for her ADN and is currently attending Chamberlain College of Nursing for her master's FNP.
She is a nurse injector helping clients to feel confident and beautiful in their own skin. She is passionate about bringing big-city beauty science and services to small-town Iowa.
She loves being a part of a small woman-owned business! Jenny has been a great mentor and her future is definitely bright with endless possibilities.
When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and four kids on her farm in a small town in northeast Iowa, taking care of their flowers and raising chickens.
Ginny Fens, Laser Technician
Ginny Fens is a dedicated laser technician specializing in laser hair removal for all skin types.
Inspired by her active lifestyle, she turned her need for a long-term hair removal solution into a rewarding career.
In her free time, Ginny enjoys spending quality time with her husband, their family dog, and her sons, cheering on her youngest in basketball, and eagerly awaiting her eldest’s upcoming marriage and the joy of expanding their family.
Allison Berns, PA-C
Allison attended the University of Northern Iowa and Des Moines University for her degree and master’s in Physician Assistant and Healthcare Administration.
She is a physician assistant who administers cosmetic injections. She loves helping clients enhance their appearance and boost their confidence through the variety of services offered, from skincare to aesthetic procedures. She feels her role is very rewarding. She loves being able to build strong relationships with clients, which leads to a more personalized experience.
Allison has a keen eye for detail and concentrates on the final look after any procedure. When you are ready to discuss anti-aging services, Allison will make you look and feel your best.
When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and her 3 boys, watching sports, traveling, and running.
Kiesha McGranahan, NP
Kiesha completed her master’s as a family nurse practitioner at Maryville University. She comes to Burds’ with several years of experience.
She loves that Burds Family Practice is patient centered and community focused. It is a small scale practice where the team can provide individualized and personalized care.
When she is not working with patients, she enjoys spending time with her family and fishing together.
